Craft + Fabricate = How Good?

In the MMOs that I’ve played, I tend to get into the crafting system if it’s not broken. I’ve also played a craft-heavy PC in D&D.

While I have some very mixed feelings about the crafting system in D&D, let’s look at one of the few ways specifically mentioned to aid crafting - the Fabricate spell.

Dragonhide Armor Part 2 - The Details

Dragonhide Armor Part 1 - The Basics

Some of the most powerful fantasy imagery revolves around dragons. Aside from the actual dragon itself, dragonhide armor is one of the most iconic fantasy items there is.

Unfortunately, most references to them in core rule books leaves a lot to be desired.

Today I want to look at how dragonhide armor fits into an economy and the world in general. Tomorrow I’m going to get my hands dirty and get into the details.

Bows Are Broken

Bows are broken. The ways in which they are broken also includes crossbows, though crossbows tend not to be as abusive given their slower rate of fire. I guess when we break it down, slings are also broken in this way, but who really uses slings anyway?

These ranged weapons offer advantages that you don’t get with any other weapon.

Ninja vs. Rogue (Spy vs. Spy?)

If you didn’t know, there’s a Ninja class in Complete Adventurer. At first glance it looks pretty neat and even has a cool picture of someone in a ninja suit leaping through the air throwing shuriken all about.

Unfortunately, I think the class missed the mark.

Enlarge Person - You Rock My Socks

One of the best abilities in D&D (in my opinion at least) is reach. While weapon reach is just OK, natural reach is where the party’s at. Nothing beats a large threaten area along with being able to attack adjacent foes. Well, maybe some things, but not many.
